Who We Are

My name is Ryan Baker and my wife Ashley and I work non stop creating one of a kind pieces. We do it all from marketing to shipping, we are there every step of the way. 

We founded Wheat State Designs in early 2020 with the goal of making Awesome décor, that generations will be proud to own as they are passed down.

We noticed that a lot of the metal décor that people have, was kind of all the same, we wanted to give people another option. That is why we love the multi-layered signs. 

We are a gold star family owned business. In August 2011 my younger brother was KIA in Afghanistan at 19 years old. He died for us, We live for him.

We use a CNC Plasma machine that slices through the steel, the plasma jet can reach an impressive temperature of 45,032 degrees Fahrenheit. To put this into perspective, it is hotter than the surface of the sun which sits at a comfortable 9,941 degrees Fahrenheit.

 

In late 2019 we designed and built our own CNC plasma machine from the ground up. 

We also do our own powder coating. Powder coating provides better performance than paint—it is more resistant to chipping, scratching, and other wear because of the thermal bonding it undergoes during curing, and because it can be applied in much thicker layers. This performance is especially important for outdoor products, like our metal signs.
